Tuome, pronounced “tow-me”, is a Michelin Star restaurant offering contemporary American cuisine with Asian influences. Chef Thomas Chen, a native of New York, initially pursued a career in accounting. After four unfulfilling years, Thomas decided to follow his passion for cooking, gaining valuable experience at the lauded fine dining institution Eleven Madison Park. This journey culminated in the opening of his first restaurant, Tuome, in 2014, located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City.

The restaurant serves as a manifestation of Chef’s culinary odyssey. As a first-generation Chinese-American, his roots deeply influence Tuome’s menu, resulting in an ingredient-driven fusion of flavors that reflects both his classical training and cultural heritage. Tuome has consistently garnered praise from guests and media alike, receiving a glowing 2-star review from The New York Times, a 4-star review from Eater, and has held a Michelin Star for the last five years.
